Shade Sails

Shade sails by Otago Engineering look great and will last for a very long time. They provide a high level of shade and as much as 98% UV protection. They are fitted with tensioners to keep the shade sail taut.

Our Shade sails are made from knitted shade cloth which has been specifically designed for use in tension structures and shade sails. The cloth is unique with its high tensile strengths in the warp and weft directions as well as its almost equal elongation properties in both warp and weft directions when under tension. We use strong powder-coated, galvanised steel posts that are concreted into the ground. You can have a stylish twist look by having different height fixing points, we can also fix to the side of your house.
